Nature protection

NATURE PROTECTION

Humans, sometimes unconsciously, aspire to conquer nature, penetrate its most inaccessible parts not taking into account the consequences and enormous damage they do to themselves and nature as well. Activities like this cause the disappearance of forests, also specimens of plants and animals disappear completely or become sparse so that they represent true natural rarities.

To preserve nature for future generations we need to conduct protection measures and to keep it autochthonous. Nature protection, as it says, protection and conservation of natural resources (plants, animals, water, soil, etc.). That is a reason for designating national parks. A national park is an area protected by the state. What does it mean? It means the state, using a law, protects all the values within park borders.

What is a national park task?

A national park task is to protect and preserve nature, ensure its development in order to protect plants and animals. This task is fulfilled by all employees of Kozara National Park but it also demands support of those who visit this protected area.

Give your contribution to nature protection by following these rules:

Do not throw any litter,

Do not destroy or pick plants,

Do not light a fire in undesignated places,

Do not carve tree barks and do not write on benches or any other facilities.

Did you know that, according to UN, about 88 000 km2 of forest are destroyed every year? In other words, every 2 seconds a forest area the size of a football pitch disappears.

Did you know that a plastic bottle can take from 100 to 1000 years to decompose?

Did you know that if you throw a glass bottle in nature it will stay there forever?

Did you know that a can takes from 10 to 100 years to decompose?

Do not throw litter in nature; do not pollute home of numerous plants and animals that live here!

Thank you in the name of nature!

Kozara belongs to all of us and to generations that are yet to come!
